Top 10 New Album Releases Fall/Winter 2011

1. Drake – Take Care 

Take Care is the upcoming second studio album scheduled for release through Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records on his 25th birthday, October 24.

2. Coldplay – Mylo xyloto

The band’s fifth studio album, “Mylo Xyloto” (pronounced my-lo zy-letoe), will be released in the U.S. on October 25 by Capitol Records.

 

3. Childish Gambino – Camp

The Community actor (“Troy”) and stand-up comedian will release the LP on November 15. Hear him go in on his own beat in this song off the new album “bonfire”.

4. Red Hot Chili Peppers – I’m with you

The band’s first studio release since 2006. The record, which will hit stores on August 30th, marks the debut of new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who joined the band following the departure of John Frusciante and took an active role in writing the new songs.

5. J. Cole – Cole World: The sideline story

The debut studio album from the American rapper, which follows up on the success of his three underground mixtapes. Featuring guest appearances from Trey Songz, Drake, Missy Elliott and his mentor Jay-Z.  August 27

6. Dev –  The Night the Sun Came Up

Dev is breaking out on her first full length EP produced exclusively by The Cataracs, who discovered Dev via MySpace.  Full of Club-ready beats paired with a few more low-key numbers this album is set to be released on November 1st.

7. Mac Miller – Blue Slide Park

Fans of the star XXL freshman can expect Miller’s debut album, which is set to be released independently through Rostrum Records, on November 8th.

8. Jason Derulo – Future History

The 22-year-old pop/R&B crooner,Derulo’s, second studio album will be released on September 27. Click the artwork to pre-listen to the new album.

9. DJ Shadow – The Less You Know, The better  

Set to be released September 27th this highly-anticipated album includes appearances from Talib Kweli, Tom Vek, Afrikan Boy, and Little Dragon to name a few.

10. Justice – Audio, Video, Disco

Four years since the release of  81 from the French electronic duo Justice, the Daft Punk-esque group returns to the scene in October with their sophomore album set to be released on October 25th
