When 4Chan forum members hacked Time Magazine’s poll about the 100 most influential people and crowned the forum’s founder, Moot, king of all media it was an example of obsessive fandom influencing the mainstream. A quick perusal of Youtube will find fan created music videos with hundreds of thousands of views. Who are these “Super Fans”? How do they drive the interwebs?
